Gitches Within
Digital layered imagery, with a table loom-woven sample. The digital work behind this was created in photoshop and uses a mixture of different layers to create a 3D effect. The colourway in this drawing was the main focal point for the collection.

40inch dobby loom sample, with a jacquard design this was created with a grid-like template. The woven sample behind is a three cloth block draft, exploring the idea of using monofilament on interior fabrics.

Controlled spacing though-out the weave, has given it an illusion of imperfections or "glitches" in the weave.

Creating a small zig-zag affected my woven sample, gave it a fuzzy uncontrollable look to the weave.

A couple of selected pieces from the collection, these four have all been created on a 16 shaft table loom, with a mixture of mercerised cotton and monofilament.

Yasmin Spraggs
Yasmin is a woven textiles designer with a focus in digital and multi media manipulation. Her unique rich coloured style is showcased within her hand-woven pieces. She is currently also studying for a BA in Interior Design with the intent to explore this avenue further.
"Glitches Within" is an exploration of technological faults and floral imperfections. The inverted disjoined style is tailored for the interiors market it is designed for a high-end bar/restaurant that has different rooms with different themes though-out. A rich colour pallet enhances the unique pattern structures in her woven and jacquard designs. Yasmin is also currently finishing off an interior design degree and hopes to combine both of her BA in the future.
