Rosie Midwood
An enthusiastic, entrepreneurial print designer, creating diverse artwork inspired by the rural British countryside.
‘Curious’ is an inclusive children’s lifestyle brand that celebrates the beauty of our British countryside with the aim of inspiring young people of all backgrounds to learn about nature.
The collection showcases Rosie's distinctive illustrative hand painting skills and ability to capture character and joy in all her work. This collection is predominately screen printed complimenting Rosie’s love of a ‘hands on’ creative process to create unique art pieces.
Designed for nursery and playroom interiors in both home and school settings, the intention is to create enchanting environments for young people to play and learn in. From bespoke mural wallpapers, pop up tents, camping chairs and duffle bags, the items are intended to be enjoyed both in and outdoors; encouraging adventure no matter where you are.
Education is a key part of the brand's identity. The prints hope to spark an interest in wildlife to encourage engagement and consideration of protecting our environment from an early age.
With nature and education at the heart of the brand, the responsible design must be too; designing textiles that last, so our environment will last as well. Fundamental to this is challenging the increasing throwaway culture; making longevity desirable. The designs are made to be physically durable and aesthetically timeless to encourage a ‘buy less but better quality’ and a ‘hand me down’ mentality.
Overall ‘Curious’ is an inclusive, bespoke print collection, inspired by British wildlife to create environments for children to play, learn and grow in.

Work Experience
Assistant Graphic designer at Nutmeg Clothing, Morrisons.
A year-long placement working across all design departments including babywear, womenswear and homeware; multiple designs have been/will continue to be launched in Morrisons stores nationwide.
As the only in house graphic designer, I became the ‘go to’ for print design queries and projects. Lead the trend and design direction for a variety of key collections including the ‘best seller’ print for the Mothers day collection, predicted to make £500k in revenue.
Worked at the company during the COVID-19 outbreak. Was part of the Morrison's ‘Feed the Nation' scheme working on a call centre taking emergency food orders for the vulnerable and elderly alongside continuing design projects.
