The Update Escape
D&AD 2021 New Blood Competition submission for giffgaff.
Designated as the Family Phone Contract Renew Man, dads aged between 45 and 60 are among the biggest culprits when it comes to stashing their families’ old phones away in the ‘Dad Drawer’. How do you inform these potential giffgaff members of the ease, convenience and benefits of recycling, while also breaking out of the relentless two-year mobile contract cycle?
Rolling out a set of animated advertisements, with each referencing an iconic movie escape scene, combined with digital illustrated banners, giffgaff aims to win over older movie fans.
