The Recurring Dream - Still 1

A still from one of my short film "The Recurring Dream" looking at conditioning, conforming, hometown glory & disdain. This particular image is one of the most personal parts of the film, a freeze-frame of the dissolve transition between two images; each of one of my sisters. Both pictures were taken on 35mm film and using a noir filter in post-production creates nostalgia. With the lack of sound, a slow pace, and a deep & personal perspective overall "the recurring dream" ultimately is drowning in loss, not the loss of what my hometown was, but the loss of my relationship with it.
