I am an enthusiastic and passionate Printed Textiles Graduate. I am greatly inspired by the people around me, and by the joys of everyday life.
In a time when we have been deprived of the daily stimuli of everyday life, of people, variety, tactility, spontaneity and the pleasure of being around other humans, ‘Soon’ is a collection which looks back at the pleasures we’ve been denied in this whirlwind of a year, offering a way to escape, to relax and to look both back fondly to the past for nostalgia and memories of joy, and into the future with hope.
The senses have been focused on in this collection. Celebrating love and affection and incorporating and celebrating tactility. A collection to spark joy, and to remind us we are not alone, even if it feels that way sometimes. Prints are included that lend themselves to being wrapped around the body, using materials that spark feelings of warmth and love. Wool is a primary part of this collection, with the use of a variety of wools that bring a tactile feel. Mohair and lambswool are integral, with printed knitwear, a material that for many, brings connotations of warmth and nostalgia. Aiming to produce a collection of ‘products of comfort’. Woollen and knitted blankets, silk scarves, squidgy cushions and tactile upholstery that make us feel at home and safe, to evoke feelings of comfort.

Work Experience
Horsley and Feather | Interior Design Studio
May - September 2020
At Horsley & Feather, I carried out tasks such as putting together mood boards, taking the minutes at meetings and doing Interior Architectural scale hand-rendered drawings of floor-plans and elevations to show ideas, layouts, visualisations and technical details for the clients and sub-contractors. Other roles included researching products/artwork and ordering fabrics and samples. The role was challenging and inspiring with problem-solving and time management being essential skills.
Fusion CPH | Print Design Studio
September - December 2019
My role at Fusion was Print Design Intern. As an intern, I designed digital prints on Photoshop, creating a collection of 6-10 prints a week. All designs were colour separated and in repeat. My photoshop skills improved greatly in this role, with drawing skills, being highlighted throughout my time at Fusion. Widely known as the design capital of the world, Copenhagen was an inspiring city to live in, which made my time there even more enjoyable.
Fairbairn & Wolf Studio | Print Design Studio
January - March 2020
At FWS, I was the screen-printing intern. My role included coating and exposing screens, as well as dying fabrics, preparing for print days and choosing colours for prints. Great colour knowledge was essential in this role for mixing up pastes and dyes ready for screen printing. My knowledge of screen printing grew enormously in this role, which has proved invaluable in my final year at University.
