Kate Barker

Kate Barker is a multi-media textile designer specialising in hand embellishment for luxury fashion.

Kate's graduate collection 'Digital Dystopia' is an exploration of the all-consuming digital age. Specialist hand-worked processes are combined with digitally-driven techniques, to push embroidery and embellishment beyond the familiar. Designed for luxury fashion, both traditional and contemporary materials are successfully integrated, culminating in an eclectic collection of digital prints and beaded garments.
