This still of a car driving across the frame with a trail of smoke represents transport and how we need to encourage invocation for more efficient transportation. The smoke respects the air that we breathe in and the pollution that we create.

This still shows the world held up by multiple hands and not just a single person. It represents the shared responsibility that climate change is and that it cannot be tackled alone.

This frame involves the plant and various hands moving in together. This represents the future and growth that we need to fight climate change.

This animation project required me to create enticing visuals for an audio transcript surrounding climate change.
The RSA moving picture brief required me to create an animated visual for an audio recording centred on climate change. The audio, "The Future We Chose by Christina Figures", created a call to action to determine a healthier future for our planet and how time is of the essence as we must act now.
My animation piece illustrates the transcript to its audience using a minimal colour planet and smooth transition to create easily understood visual metaphors. I also worked on the sound design by adding background music and sound effects through the piece, which further brought the animation to life.
I chose to complete this brief as it focuses on animation, which I hope to specialise in after graduation. This project really allowed me to improve my storytelling abilities as well as develop a consistent visual style. I could also use my skills in timing and pacing the various movements and transition to create an easily flowing animation. Sound is significant in animation. This project also allowed me to improve my understanding of sound design, and it visually affects an animation piece.
