Empathise
The Problem:
Those with dyslexia are more likely to be exposed to damaging emotional experiences during their education, primarily because educators are not taught how to recognise or deal with the emotional side of dyslexia.
The Solution:
A specially designed, user-centred board game that will educate primary school teachers in the emotional experiences that dyslexics endure. Allowing them to gain empathy towards those with dyslexia. Helping them support their students and create a positive learning environment for dyslexics.
Created with a user-centred approach of thorough research, multiple rounds of user testing and feedback.

A user-focused and research-based designer who wants people to feel vauled in every aspect of design.
I am a User-Centred Design student who has a passion for problem-solving and research. I design putting the user first whilst creating unique solutions that will be successful due to my user-centred training. My goal is to create different experiences that allow people to see the world in a new way and provoke curiosity.
My project Empathise allows teachers to gain emotional insight into the negatives of dyslexia that are not taught. Through a board game experience, teachers will be able to better help their students and prevent long term damaging effects of dyslexia. The fully user-based project was tested and approved by teachers, ensuring its success as an empathy educational tool.
