Unmute
Unmute is a multi-media campaign created to tackle the stigma around menopause in mainstream media and get people talking.
Unmute
We conducted extensive research and found that if people think menopause doesn’t affect them, they aren’t likely to actively search for sources to educate themselves on the topic. Rather than our audience attending events or seminars, Unmute takes away the need to search for the information.
Unmute
Examples of the platforms being taken over by the Unmute campaign hijack, including Channel 4, Acast podcasts and the Refinery29 Youtube channel.
Unmute
Examples of how social media will be used to share the campaign even further. Understanding the nature of the audience, people will use platforms such as Twitter, Tik Tok and Instagram to learn more about Unmute.
Unmute
Examples of how this campaign will have a lasting effect long after the day it launches. The explosive nature of the hijack is designed to stick with people and urge them to research further where they will find information on various platforms.
ASOSRE
ASOSRE is a campaign promoting sustainable practice by allowing consumers to engage and earn credit. Shoppers can use the new ASOSRE section of the ASOS app to find a donation bin across the UK and donate unwanted clothing to be recycled in exchange for credit to spend on the Responsible Edit, a sustainable collection of pieces available at ASOS. There is also a contactless way of donating using the ASOSRE donation bag that is sent to shoppers with their orders.
ASOSRE
An example of how the campaign is promoted using ASOS' social media channels, including an infographic on how to donate.
ASOSRE
A prototype of the donation bags sent to customers with their orders to give them the option to donate unwanted clothes contact-free without visiting a donation bin. The bag also includes a flyer with information on how to engage with the campaign.
Ellie Cunningham
I am a graphic designer who likes to use design to problem-solve, alongside bold colours and type.
Throughout my projects at university, I have explored issues such as sustainability, ethical practice in fashion, the stigma around menopause and the impact of the coronavirus. I love communicating through visual design and typography; my placement year also allowed me to find a passion for motion design. I strive to explore my love of travel, fashion and social media in my work.
