Charley-Ella Knights-Nizzardi

An experimental designer who uses out of the box thinking to create unique outcome.

As a creative, I started my graphics journey at the University, previously only studying Fine Arts. I am a fast learner picking up Adobe Software Skills and design techniques that have propelled me through University. Throughout my time at the university, I was drawn to themes of environmentalism. I am passionate about ending marine pollution and climate change; therefore look towards design to create a solution.

Awards

My trainer design came 6th in the 'Prospect 100 Global Design Competition of 2020.' I was selected to be in the top 20 finalists by the industry judges. The top 20 then went to a public vote on Instagram.
For my achievements, I was offered a graduate placement at GUESS Los Angeles with mentorship from fashion mogul James Lee. My trainer encompasses my passion for marine life as its made from recycled waste from the ocean. The design itself mimicked a wave shape. "End Plastic Waste - I liked this one because it aligns with something I'm currently working towards as well. I think the overall aesthetic is nice too, definitely a dope sneaker!" - Sean Wotherspoon

Work Experience

For 'Green Goddess Wellness' I created website banners to boost the aesthetic for the website whilst promoting the products. I used photoshop to place the current labels onto pouches, then styled them onto a white background to give a studio effect. The challenges I faced was navigating commercial photography and presentation whilst keeping to a companies branding guidelines. I gained experience in e-commerce and product presentation.
