Electra Heart UK Tour Poster (chosen version)
This is the first poster I designed. Personally, it is my favourite out of the two I've created so far. However, it was the one I experienced the most challenges with; this version is completely different to the first poster I designed for this album. This poster was produced digitally but I used pencil and ink sketches in the beginning stages.
Electra Heart UK Tour Poster (original version)
This is the first version of the poster above. For this one, I used less illustrative techniques and used more photoshop and manipulation of pictures that already existed. This is why I decided to change this version to the one above since the second version shows more artistic skills.
Froot UK Tour Poster
This is the second poster I designed. For this one, I used more abstract ideas and created my own font for the poster. Since the album this relates to, has a lot of colourful and expressive imagery, I thought I could use the same concepts in the poster.
The Family Jewels Initial Prints
These are prints that will eventually lead to my finished tour poster for the album 'The Family Jewels.' The design will be based on royal portraiture (relating to the 'Family Jewels' part of the album title) but will look more like a rock poster due to the colours and printing technique, creating a unique contrast. This poster will not be digitally made, unlike my other ones.
Bethany Scott
Designing tour posters for different albums that the artist 'MARINA' has released.
For my final major project, I was inspired by my previous work in my Foundation Degree, where I designed a movie poster based on a band. I've mainly been working digitally but have recently been experimenting with different types of print-making methods, and pencil and ink sketches. I wanted each poster to look completely different from the other to show how I artistically interpreted the albums I was basing the posters on. For this reason, I experimented a lot with colour and typography.
