Since the dawn of humanity, there has been an innate desire within us to decorate the world. The oldest discovered decorative markings were found in South Africa and date back 100,000 years. This pattern carved into rock announced the beginning of design and culture. In caves across the globe surviving paintings dating as far back as 60,000 years ago depict animals, humans and abstract markings.
