3D model front view
I used Google Sketchup to create a model of my planned installation before I created it physically. The front is a section of a bathroom, with a screen behind the mirror that shows a film.
3D Model back view
The viewing space on the other side of the wall to the bathroom. A camera aimed through a two-way mirror feeds two monitors.

Bathroom Tiles
Hand made ceramic tiles with a glossy white glaze. Some of the tiles have ghost-like faces, my intention is that it will put the thought of being watched in the viewer's mind.

My work aims to explore mental health through a multidisciplinary approach
My project incorporates video, sculpture, and construction to produce an installation that depicts the dynamic of a watcher and being watched. When I'm alone, I become acutely conscious of the possibility that I'm being watched and judged. When this occurs, I consider my "natural" everyday behaviour to be abnormal. As a consequence, I am hyperaware of everything I do. To avoid the judgement I feel, my acts become a performance of normalcy. My installation is an attempt at creating a physical manifestation of this dynamic. This project has highlighted my ability to work with different materials as well as to adapt and overcome obstacles. This is my first time making an architectural installation of this scale and I have proven to myself that I can produce more ambitious projects in the future.
