My current practice explores colour and perspective to depict the domestic space, that we often overlook.

Within my practice, I use the mediums of print and paint to depict the domestic space. Printing allows me to be spontaneous and expressive, such as lithograph, where I can work with line and tone, and layering of colours at the same time. Painting allowed me to work with larger scales and capture the essence of the domestic space through the use of colour and perspective. I aim for the viewer to feel immersed within my work as I feel. The themes of colour and perspective are used to create a more expanded domestic space, which can provoke a personal connection for the viewer.

Everyday at Home

Work Experience

During my placement year, I worked as a gallery assistant for Degree Art Gallery. Working in a fast-paced art gallery, fully immersed in the day-to-day running of the online gallery, as well as dealing with clients face to face. Closely assisted the Sales and Partnerships Manager on all commercial endeavours, including business to business partnerships and business to customer sales. Additional responsibilities included selling directly to clients at art fairs and exhibition the gallery held. I also was involved in managing the Signature Art Prize and cataloguing sales of artwork.
